Intense aromas of cherry, raspberry, overripe strawberry and some potting soil. The pallet is fluid with red fruit, and dried mushroom. Medium bodied, smooth, dry with lively acidity and a hearty finish. Lovely and complex Pinot Noir with tons of character paired with French onion soup. — 10 days ago
Pale straw with more than enough small bubbles. Medium intensity nose of tropical fruits and sweet honey. It’s a touch shy for quite a while but when it does blossom, it blossoms. White peaches and fresh lemons abound here.
35/35/30 CH/PN/PM with 3 g/l dosage so it has that refreshing bite. Six years on lees and disgorged in January of 2020 so there is some nice maturity here. Balance is the word. This is one of the most expertly balanced champagnes I’ve tasted. Everything in it’s proper place and finely tuned.
Plenty of complexity and finesse on the palate. Citrus flavors dominate all day long. Let this sit for an hour or two so it has time to evolve. It’s smooth, sleek, and more than a bit sexy. Really good today, much better a year from now. — a month ago
