Medium bodied, great acidity, good tannins. Black raspberry, smoke, and a hint of bell pepper. — 5 years ago
Classic northern Rhone Syrah. Meaty, feral but still light on its feet. No as deep as the best, but a satisfying step below, especially for the price. — 9 years ago
Very aromatic and wonderfully drinkable. True vin de soif, but with real richness and texture. Juicy and luscious, with freshness from acidity and granite. So easy to love. — 3 months ago
As good as last time. I confirm. And there's pepper. Very herbal. Somewhere at the top of my list. — 7 years ago
This 2012 is 80% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne has an excellent presentation with a nice finish. The Domaine Blachon is slightly more complex, but this would be the novice wine drinkers favorite of the two. — 11 years ago
Gorgeous nose, huge fruit, blood, violets, meat, and a hint of mint. Gorgeous and pure, with amazing drinkability and unreal purity. One of the best VDF wines I’ve ever tasted. — 3 months ago
Gorgeous clay-like nose. Juicy and dense, with insane tannin management, gorgeous granite, acidity, velvet texture, freshness and unreal energy. So, so sick. — 3 months ago
Very solid. Very accurate. Definitely ripe vintage — 9 years ago
Just what the doctor ordered. The aromas alone make this a winner. Savory aged meats dusted in peppercorns and herbs. Palate is medium and finish isn't the wines strength, but the aromatics are the real deal. — 10 years ago

Short note. Intense black pepper, smoked meat, blackberry, black olive times 10, brown sugar on the nose; really unique dried rose aroma, almost Nebbiolo like. Excellent acid, superb balance; decant for 2 hours. Wait for 4 years and will probably be better. Fucking great. @Lyle Fass — a day ago
