Recommended by DP 14.99 when bought. Nice. Complex red blend a bit dry, a bit tannic, deep inky purple red color. Great with the first steak of the summer cook out season. — 10 months ago

This was served during my annual WWC hosting. Typical format of sparkler, three whites, four reds, one dessert, all served blind.
My last of a three-pack. One sadly fell (literally) victim to the pavement. Silver lining is that while I think this can hold in this window for a bit, this wine doesn’t seem to show that it will get better.
Decanted an hour. 80 Grenache/ 15 Mourvèdre/ 5 Syrah & cinsault. To me, this is the Paso style yet in France. It’s big yet has balance…rich and toasty. Loads of garrigue, dark potpurri, and peppered black cherries aromatically. The red fruit streaks through the palate surrounded by bitter dark chocolate, hint of charcoal and mineral. Tasty. — 8 months ago
Balsamic vinegar appearance shows its 9 years of ageing. Pretty nez de Provence which also shows a wide array of tertiary aromas.
On the palate juicy stewed southern fruits such as ripe cherry, plums, figs and dates. Black tea, smoke, a heat mineral touch and of course a gariqueesk finish which is pretty long. ‘14 even brought 15% which is hardly noticeable. Love this wine and its a textbook example of what quality G can bring after 9 years. — 10 months ago
