Medium ruby with quite narrow terracotta , garnet rim. Cut herbs , raspberry, dried red cherry , dried rose , slightly smoky note and a basalt , stony hint. On the palate quite rounded and ripe with some red focused sweet sous bois , raspberry coulis and dried herbs , anis , dried herbs . Alcohol does stick out a bit with medium quite rounded sweet tannin , with just balanced acidity . Reasonable anis , black tea and dried herb finish . This is at the end of its drinking window but still showing quite well . Drink now , and I would recommend serving at a relatively cool temperature — 4 months ago

This wine has a medium copper tint. It pours up frizzante in the glass. That’s fun. On the nose I find tart apples and pears. The palate, however, presents very ripe red cherries, almost sweet. The wine is dry and the acidity is bracing. For a cheap little Trader Joe’s rosé, this is a fairly nice wine. — 3 months ago
Poured into a decanter about 90min before service; enjoyed over a several hour period. The 2010 “Poggio delle Rose” pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of Bing cherries compote, red flowers, balsamic, oiled leather. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. This is a flashier expression of Chianti Classico Riserva by Castell’in Villa, with a modern touch. However, the sense of place is not even a question. This is Castelnuovo Berardenga through and through. Drinking well now with an extended decant and will continue to drink well through 2030, easy. — 7 months ago
Random Wegmans pick—great! — 4 months ago
Great sprig/summer wine. Apple taste reminiscent of Snapple apple. Light and refreshing — 7 months ago
This wine will evolve into one of the best Brunello di Montalcino’s, just spin a bit too tight at this moment to show off the exceptional aromatics and structure. Dried red and white rose petals, English breakfast tea, charred plum, Cohiba cigar. — 7 months ago
