The 1995 La Tâche Grand Cru is an outstanding wine from a decade when I don't think the Domaine was firing on all cylinders. This echoes the magnum tasted last year with those ebullient red cherries and crushed strawberry scents on the nose. As you might expect from the bottle format, it's a little more open and evolved than the magnum. The palate is beautifully balanced with fine-boned tannins, with a dash of white pepper sprinkled over the millefeuille of red fruit. It's delineated and poised towards the finish, so much so that you almost don't notice its structure. Sublime. (Neal Martin, Vinous, June 2024)

Old-school Italian wine that is perfect for pizza. Somewhat thin and alcoholic but typical of wines served in Italian restaurants in Brooklyn when I was small. Flavorful and a perfect match to the marinara sauce of New York Patsy’s Pizzeria or Joe & Pat’s. — 2 months ago
Light and fruity, but smooth. Like a bigger Pinot Noir. Vanessa loved (May 2024) — 4 months ago

This wine has a distinctive light copper color. Its nose is full of sweet, ripe strawberry and cherry aromas, with a bit of lemon zest minerality. The palate brings the red fruit and a strong minerality. Acidity is fresh and the finish is medium length. A pairing will be no problem with such a food friendly wine. Seafood, salads and risotto are all excellent choices. — 3 months ago

Medium caramel . Quite a lot of spice, cinnamon , clove and all spice on the nose , with raisins, sultanas , touch of caramel, fudge . On the palate more ripe dried yellow fruits , with those allspice touches , quite fine balance and medium length finish with a quite light framed structure . — 4 months ago
