Wow, a beautifully aging wine, nose clearly showed age with some tobacco, dried fruits, and a hint of a lizard’s cherry! Wine still has vibrant tannins and dark fruit elegance persists for a nice balance while it developed in the glass. 1993 vintage opened and drank on 25Feb2026!!! Enjoy — 2 months ago

The nose shows classic BdM aromas of dried cherry, rose petal, steeped black tea, tobacco, and a whisper of balsamic. Yet on the palate its tart acidity overwhelmed, and the nimble structure is more inline with CC than a BdM.

Not bad, but I certainly expected much more.

So I put this one up for a few years. After 10 years, the cork broke on removal. But I was able to get the rest out with little incident thanks to YouTube. The wine poured a beautiful blood red. The flavors were deep and jammy of dried fruits like other reviewers have mentioned. It is dry with a modest finish. It went perfectly with the farfalle arrabiata we made.I think this was only $20 at Trader Joe’s. I will be stocking up. #traderjoes #traderguissepe #italian #italianredwine #amarone — 2 months ago
