Beautiful wine
Starts out with brightness and sunshine
Moves into citrus and a touch of lime with zest as it breathes.
Really gorgeous
Paired with shrimp risotto and asparagus. Delightful — 5 days ago
Bright pale lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and flinty floral notes, from a small production. On the palate flavors of crisp apple, pear and ripe citrus with notes of white flowers and nutty flinty spice. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity ending with citrus, biscuits and mineral spice. Nice! Still young! Give it some time in the bottle! — 3 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2006 Comtes de Champagne pours a straw color with a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of white peach, lemon curd, white flowers, lightly toasted brioche with chalk and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and creamy. This is delicious and fabulously balanced CdC. Drink now through 2036. — 6 days ago
2006 vintage. Cork easy to extract. A rusty rosé color. Slightly dirty/earthy with light-medium body and still plenty of acidity to shepherd the proceedings along in a timely manner. Excellent depth on the finish and well-integrated perfume in the bouquet. Another solid 5-6 years at this level before any noticeable drop-off. 2.14.26. — a month ago
Beautiful, quintessential nose! Silky and balanced from start to finish. Not trying to be too bold but it doesn’t disappear either. Truly enjoyable Bordeaux and I would absolutely buy it again — 3 months ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2018 “Désirée” (which gets to hold this designation due to historical precedence) pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of bright tropical fruit, lemon, slivered almond, warm spices and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ with a lovely texture. Textbook Meursault and more importantly, tasty stuff. Drink now through 2033. — 8 days ago
