Bright pale lemon color with aromas of citrus, stone fruits and flinty floral notes, from a small production. On the palate flavors of crisp apple, pear and ripe citrus with notes of white flowers and nutty flinty spice. Medium+ finish, vivid acidity ending with citrus, biscuits and mineral spice. Nice! Still young! Give it some time in the bottle! — a month ago
Aromas of lemon zest, white peach, and chalky minerality are layered with hints of toasted brioche and hazelnut. On the palate, vibrant acidity with a creamy, seamless texture. The finish is long and precise. A confident elegance. This bottle makes you yell , “Why don’t I own magnums?” — 17 days ago

Classy Volnay that is drinking beautifully. Consistent with my prior notes — an hour ago
Beautiful, quintessential nose! Silky and balanced from start to finish. Not trying to be too bold but it doesn’t disappear either. Truly enjoyable Bordeaux and I would absolutely buy it again — 20 days ago

Definitely a wine that needs to be served closer to room temperature than the fridge and let breathe just a bit. Complex bouquet comes alive as it warms with key lime pie, caramel apples, white flowers, and Chantilly cream underlaid by chalky marl aromas. Awesome, but then again, you expect that in this price range from a premier cru. — 3 months ago

2012 vintage. Tasted courtesy of @romo. Nice tension remaining and not totally committed to the overt golden qualities of the involved fruits this effort generally exhibits just yet. Maybe in another 7-8 years but this still had freshness in spades. Impressed enough to put it on the shopping list. Delicious and still fairly focused. Thank you @romo! 01.16.26. — 7 days ago
