Found four more and this one drinking nicely. Light almost see through colors. Floral nose with zero metallic notes. Limpid lively texture. — 4 months ago
A fantastic ‘11! No doubt in a leaner style but there’s clear Fourrier signature and it’s so fresh, with absolutely zero greenness, just beautiful floral perfume and bright red cherry fruit that waft from the glass. The palate gains notably in weight and intensity and its pure, focused and saline-mineral inflicted finishes keeps on lingering. Great showing for a vintage I generally avoid in reds. — 4 months ago

I reckon BH’s notes on this are pretty spot on for my experience (expect the part on the Noirots), so here it is:
“Once again, there is a subtle though not invisible application of wood that still easily allows the airy, cool and restrained aromas of various red berries, and in particular cherry, floral and a mildly exotic whiff of dried orange peel. The energetic and beautifully well-detailed middle weight flavors are much finer if less powerful than those of the Noirots while display notably more minerality as well on the compact, serious and built-to-age finale. This is a wine of finesse and refinement but the flavor authority is impressive as is the tannic spine.”
WOTN for most I believe. Showed well with air, but clearly some tightness at the start. Loved the energy here. Very promising! — 6 months ago
One of my favorite CdP producers. I opened this alongside a buddy’s 2009 CSJ Deus Ex Machina and it was really intriguing to see the differences.
60 Grenache/20 Syrah/remainder a blend.
Quick bottle decant before diving in. While ready to go, an hour full-decant would probably be a good call at this stage, but not required. Where the Ex Machina was more high toned and layered (thanks to the blend), this was more up-front and plush. Violets and spiced berry compote aromatically. Dark berry fruit, sweet pipe tobacco and fig dominate the palate. Extremely concentrated (not extracted), with a savory graphite profile at the finish. Would have sworn Mourvèdre was heavy in this. Really drinking nicely now. Totally different wine than three years ago. All the reduction is gone and the fruit has emerged. Green apple for days. Peaches. Very pretty. Hard to lay down a $35 bottle for 3 years but it really needs it. — 2 months ago
