Friuli Colli Orientali Ribolla Gialla 2021

Brought to an outdoor afternoon lunch on a hot and humid day. Behaved like an air conditioner. Tremendously refreshing and bright. A wonderful accompaniment to a chicken Caesar . — 5 months ago

I was just reading about Friuli whites, so I grabbed my own this weekend, too. Great timing.

Filip Colli Orientali Del Friuli Friulano

Just an absolutely ridiculous wine. As oerfectly integrated and velvety as a good Merlot can be. Weighty yet supple and voluptuous. Spice/tobacco on the back end — perfectly delicious. High alcohol but acidity balances it. — 6 months ago

Collio Friulano Blend 2021

Nice complexity. Some lemon citrus but with a floral fruity base. — 9 days ago

Terlato Vineyards

Friuli Colli Orientali Pinot Grigio 2016

Friendly DOC Pinot Grigio from Terlato. Nice peach and apricot notes with honeysuckle and pear. Medium body with good balance of acidity. Moderate finish but a good drinker. — 3 months ago

Colli Orientali Del Friuli Pinot Grigio 2020

Not your average pinot grigio. Ton of energy. So much minerality. Excellent alongside seafood and the grand canal in Venice. — 5 months ago

Conte d'Attimis-Maniago

Colli Orientali del Friuli Tazzelenghe 2013

Decanted for 90min prior to service. The 2013 pours, a deep ruby color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity, with light staining of the tears. Small signs of sediment. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart, mostly dark with some red forest fruit: blackberries, black currants, rotting strawberries, a fresh package of red rope licorice, purple flowers, old pennies, and dry, rocky minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin(+?) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. I think this is my first time enjoying a wine made with Tazzelenghe and, if I can help it, will not be my last. Drink now. — a month ago

Pop n pour.
Open and seductive on the nose.
