A tasty chateauneuf du pape inspo bursting with ripe berry flavors, some spice and a nice medium finish. Medium complexity liquid fruit roll up; very easy drinking. — 6 months ago
Perfectly ripe black and red fruit. Grippy tannins, but still gives a nice mouthfeel. Not a lot of complexity. Great wine that has a lot of life left. Really enjoyable but hard to see how RP gave it a 100. — 8 months ago
Deep ruby with a hint of purple. Aromas of oak, blackberry, cherry, vanilla, and licorice. The palate offers ripe raspberry, blueberry, and plum, with smoky notes that soften after a 4.5-hour decant. The alcohol is noticeable but more balanced with air. Full-bodied with medium-plus tannins, high acidity, and a smooth, velvety texture. Drinking well now but has good aging potential.

Popped and poured; enjoyed as a preamble to my birthday dinner. The “La Pucelle” pours a straw color with medium viscosity and a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of yellow apple, Bosc pear, raspberry, white peach, brioche some chanterelle mushrooms and a mix of chalky and limestone minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is forever. Zippy. Divine. A “wow” Champagne that seems to straddle the freshness of the reductive approach and the complexity of the oxidative approach.
Always 100% Pinot Noir, this release of “La Pucelle” is a deft blend of the 2014 and 2012 vintages; 32/68 respectively. Disgorged 2015. Though this is NV, expect a long life. My only regret is drinking this so quickly because this has a bigger story to tell. But I was sharing with 9 other people and holy smokes, it’s already the belle of the ball. Thank you @Lyle Fass for the assist! — 9 months ago
Very nice balance of the grapes. Pairs well with grilled chicken and pork. — 3 months ago
Sauvignon at its best. — 3 months ago
Nose is a bit more broad and less focused, smokey and brioche and yeast and bread, so fine and very dry and mineral, also the earthiest one. So pure and so sappy. Clean and fresh. Not too complex but so well made and fine mousse, juicy and invigorating and sapid and lots of fruit skins. Classic and champagne for parties. — 2 years ago
