95% Syrah, 5% Viognier. Beautiful Rhône red. Quite intense with darker fruits and blueberries. Some meaty/iron notes, black pepper and green olive. Floral dried lavender from the Viognier. Lengthy finish with a gentle tannic grip. Hard to say if I like this better than Vernay’s Saint-Joseph. With John Prine’s Sweet Revenge (1st press) @Dave — 6 months ago
Light ruby/purple color. Aromas of ripe red cherries and red berries along with red flowers. Juicy red cherry flavors with slight touches of bramble and minerals. Lively and crisp finish. Soft tannins. No sign of oak. Sensing carbonic maceration as this wine reminds me of a young Beaujolais. Quite fresh and bright. Named for the winemaker. Can handle a chill. Refreshing. — 10 months ago
Loved the balance here. Complex & gracious, Carnuntum cream of the crop. — 5 months ago
