Year in, year out, this is my fav Chianti Classico. To me it captures all what I look for in a good every day Sangiovese - freshness, a bit of tannic edge, juicy flow, a savory sweetness to the fruit. And food friendliness!
Enticing nose with red cherries, a bit of wet undergrowth & turned earth, a bit of tomato leaf, a flowery whiff. Joyful!
Medium bodied on the palate with great energy & flow. The tannins present, a touch rustic, but in a nice way, the acidity juicy & vibrant. Nice depth and long finish.
So drinkable but also has some seriousness to it.

The vintage is prime! Maybe a year or two down, but singing with some time. Beautiful bronze ring and hue, notes of strawberry, raisin, and white pepper earthiness. Salud! 🍷 — 14 days ago
Light bodied, full flavored. A definite crowd pleaser. — 10 days ago
375ml. Nose has crunchy black cherry fruit, and the characteristic earthiness of the region has taken on a slightly animal, feral quality in this iteration. Savory and relatively full in the mouth. A little drying and bitter at the end of the finish. — a month ago

20 years in the making…. Blackberries, spicy cedar, fig, cigar, truffles and old leather. Dark ruby, medium to heavy bodied, strong tannins, high acidity that pairs well with a smoky, fatty steak. Love it! — 7 days ago

Chianti Classico Tasting @ Ai Fiori 4/27/26 — 2 months ago
Very delicious. Smoothest chiati I've tasted. Fruity with a clean finish. — 4 hours ago
Clear, medium ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with pronounced primary and secondary aromas of raspberries, balsamic, and wood smoke; on the palate, it's dry, with high acidity, high tannins, medium body, high alcohol, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of red currant, cherries, and clay pots with a long finish. This wine is balanced and complex. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. Nellie likes it too. — a month ago
Pours a medium, slightly faded garnet rim, opening with an intense and highly expressive nose showing advanced tertiary evolution. On the palate, it exhibits a firm, full-bodied structure driven by ripe, integrated tannins and a distinctly mature, savory depth. The texture remains smooth, carrying through to a finish with harmonious spices—a fully evolved bottle to be consumed in the very near future. — a month ago

Popped and poured, zero sediment. Color shows a little amber at the rim. Nose smells a bit tertiary for a wine only 6 years old. Scents of rioe, macerated cherry competing with old leather and some mahogany furniture scent. Lots of dessicated gravel too. In the mouth it’s a bit lean, with puckery tannins and a shortish finish. Flavors on entry are on the savory side. Lacks fruit somewhat on the palate. Just OK, which is disappointing for this wine.
UPDATE: On night 2, after being under a vacuum closure, it’s showing more depth, liveliness, and fruit. Upping the score from 8.7 on night one to 8.9 on night 2. — 9 days ago
