Weak baking spices on the nose.
Rich tannins upfront and richness throughout the medium finish. Dark berry licorice comes through when paired with brie.

Nice white Bordeaux. A bit heavy on the SB for my taste, but delightful nevertheless. — 2 years ago

2017 vintage. A bit of a curiosity as this 4 hectares vineyard is situated on an island in the Ciron river. After years of abandonment it was bought and restaured by the Lamothe family (Château Haut-bergeron). 80% Sémillon and 20% Sauvignon blanc. More freshness compared to the 2016 vintage with ripe pineapple and flowers on the nose. Not especially profound but a very nice lightweight Sauternes with good acidity and good almondy length. Good value too at 23 EUR. — 3 years ago

Vintage 2020 | with 12 months barrel aging | clearly more body and structure than the reserve, but at this moment less fruit. Dinnerwine par excellence, not ready yet, better keep this one or two year in the cellar, potential. Paired with lamb chops. — 2 months ago
