Champagne Michel Laval Les Filles des Vendanges (Rose) — 3 years ago

Really delicious well balanced wine. Excellent with center cut lamb chops, Syrian rice, grilled zucchini — 5 years ago
Incredible balance of minerality and citrus. Drank it over a few hours and got better with time. this particular wine is 60% Meunier de Chambrecy 2017 fermented and aged in neutral barrels and then blended with 2013 and 2016 reserve wines( Chardonnay and Pinot noir)

100% Pinot Noir. Dried apricot, fig, prune, and almonds. — 7 years ago
In my constant search for the best 100% meunière, this is up there with the best, C-T Les Barres, Prevost, Bereche, Emmanuel Brochet, and the impossible find George Laval.
An exciting combination of energy and restraint. It’s not about the fruit. Very savory. — 8 years ago
Brioche, creme brûlée aromas along with complex funky aromas, reminiscent of truffle, that open up to stone fruit and mineral notes (slightly Laval like, though more restraint) On the palate creamy with fine bubbles and more stone fruit and mineral notes, and a really great finish. — 9 years ago
What a wild and wonderful champagne. Strawberries ‘n cream, mandarin orange, fennel, chamomile tea and some kind of fresh cut herb (chervil anyone?) Could not be more different from the Krug that preceded it — 2 years ago
Sarah, grenache, mourvèdre. What else ? Spices, soap, earth and dark fruits. Amazingly rich and juicy. — 4 years ago
July 4, 2019 disgorgement. Always good. — 5 years ago
2018 vintage. A smal organically farmed estate owned by Géraldine Laval in the Languedoc (Terrasses du Larzac). High altitude (400 - 500 meters). I love the red, and the white might be even more spectacular. Unusual blend of Chenin Blanc, Grenache Gris, Roussanne and Terret Bourret. Pale bright yellow. Beautiful nose with white peach, pineapple, rose petals and hints of fresh basil and mint. Amazing purity of fruit in the mouth, very fresh, profound and energetic, very far from the cliché of the heavy southern wine. Impressive length too. Incredible value at 27 euros. Tiny production, well worth seeking out. — 5 years ago
