2018 vintage. A smal organically farmed estate owned by Géraldine Laval in the Languedoc (Terrasses du Larzac). High altitude (400 - 500 meters). I love the red, and the white might be even more spectacular. Unusual blend of Chenin Blanc, Grenache Gris, Roussanne and Terret Bourret. Pale bright yellow. Beautiful nose with white peach, pineapple, rose petals and hints of fresh basil and mint. Amazing purity of fruit in the mouth, very fresh, profound and energetic, very far from the cliché of the heavy southern wine. Impressive length too. Incredible value at 27 euros. Tiny production, well worth seeking out.
