For reasons that are unclear to me, this wine, which this excellent estate usually markets as an AOC Alsace, is in 2020 a simple VDF. Not to worry, it’s outstanding. Nose has honeyed ripe apple and pear, meadow flowers, wet stones, and some spice. Round, mouthfilling, and concentrated—you can actually sense the dry extract—the initial mouthfeel makes one expect sweetness, but zingy, lip-smacking acids quickly show out a surprisingly dry palate. Loads of crushed stone minerality in the back half of the long finish. Excellent. — 2 years ago
Classic Pouilly. What a time to be in Paris! Sitting on the balcony of my AirBNB enjoying the sounds of the Marais. Today restaurant, cafés and museum restrictions begin to ease. That alone is making this wine taste good. I’ll add tasting notes tomorrow, when my palate isn’t clouded by the shear weight of the moment. — 4 years ago

(I took a stock pic and asked the wrong one!) A powerful and decadent nose. Bloody deep plum, black cherry, tar. Young and tightly wound. Excellent material- a way to go. — a month ago
