Black fruit, pipe tobacco, garrigue and black olive. — 7 months ago
Ripe red fruit, dark cherry, medium bodied with a fairly bright acidity. Plenty of leather, some oak, and hints of a funky earthiness. Would go well with a ripe blue cheese. Lively pairing with a ribeye and sweet potatoes. Would do well aging for a few more years to mellow the acidity. — a day ago

Kept getting better throughout the evening. Amazing from start to finish. — 3 months ago
Hot tub-! Meaning, Macon in the hot tub. Which also means that any wine tasted in hot tub conditions deserves better, & at least some recognition the hot tub distorts. Still, a lithe, Meyer lemon & mineral palate. Helps actually to be in, yes, the hot tub to loosen up the dimensionality. Would go back to this. — 6 months ago

Quite pale in color after 21 years. Very port wine like. Was too busy for detailed notes. Winner of the evening. — 21 days ago
