2020 Daniel Bouland Bellevue Cailloux Morgon - Gamay from Beaujolais. This is a medium to full bodied wine. Bouland wines are described as defiantly deep, dark, country-style reds with plenty of grip and overflowing with personality. These are wines that are built for the long hall, unlike so many of the region’s wines. I describe this wine as brilliant and delicious. This wine is drinking nicely even without bottle age.
Once again, Beaujolais because they can be deliciously beautiful. Casualness in a bottle with a touch of class. Also can’t beat the QPR on some of these, especially this one. — a year ago
Depression cherry color. Subtly smells of fruits rouges. Kisses apple and cassis.
Currently accompanied by a fire roasted tomato stew. — a month ago
I did not have high hopes for this one especially after paying $7.50. However, this is a well-structured wine! Very dark and really good. I wished I had bought more. — a month ago
First sip was incredibly smooth. Gave Chelsey the remaining wine from the bottle after decanting and she said it tasted like it'd be good on ice cream.
First sip from the decanter was smooth and luscious. Not my all time favorite wine but I'll certainly never turn it down. — 7 months ago

A beaujolais in a cru Burgundy style. My previous note still stands except that the flowery notes disappeared, and the oaky touches are more present. Cherry, hay, vanilla, oak, earthy notes too. The palate is showing a great acid drive, some nice cherry notes all along, a good grip, some width and even a mocha, oaky touch before some tannins in the rear, rather stronger than the average oak treatment you get in the region, a spherical mid palate before a long, very long finish with a drying effect, mocha, oaky notes and that superb, typical cherry and hay note I love in great gamays. I could easily see it stand its ground in a red cote de beaune village to 1er cru blind line up. — 3 days ago
