It's time for my #FridayCabernetfix. Here is a nice one from Napa Valley.
Dark ruby in color with a nice reddish rim.
Fruity nose with blackberries, sweet cherries, figs, earth, raisins, vanilla, cedar, tobacco, chocolates, vegetables and black pepper. A very nice nose.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and nice legs.
Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, cedar, leather, earth, vanilla, licorice, spices, tobacco, chocolates, light vegetables, pencil lead and peppercorn.
Long tangy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a delicious 7 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Coombsville. Showing nice complexity with a great nose and a soft mouthfeel.
This Single Vineyard from a great vintage is drinking very nicely now. This is not the big and bold Napa Cabernet, but rather elegant and restrained. Will age nicely in the next 10 years.
Good by itself as a sipping wine. A good wine to talk about with friends.
I let it open for 90 minutes, and it was well worth the wait, although it is tasty right out of the bottle, too.
I paired it with Brie cheese and roasted almonds.
Aged for 24 months in 30% New French oak barrels. Only 196 cases produced.
Only 13.5% alcohol by volume, which is very unique for a Napa Cabernet from this vintage.

Classic Yamhill. Packed with flavors of red, blue, and black fruit with subtle minerality noticeable on the palate. The wine is smooth, delicious and well-crafted. 2015 is a warmer vintage but the ripeness doesn’t overwhelm. Rather, it blends beautifully with the other layers and packs enough acidity to deliver a lively and fresh experience. Well done! In my view, Belle Pente is an underrated winery. Keep your eye on these folks. Their wines are good. 2015 vintage on Jan 12, 2020 — 10 days ago
You could do a lot worse in central Florida. Warm lush dark cherry, nice balance — 7 days ago
Delicious Australian Chardonnay, super smokey but no wood. To use during tastings — 20 days ago
This is my new most favorite wine. It is the smoothest most silky wine I have ever had and it's not too sweet. It's very drinkable. I just finished eating a superb ribeye and while it wouldn't be bold enough for it, it's amazing after. Can't wait to see how it pairs with chocolate lava cake. Stay tuned for an update. — 9 days ago

A better version of Meiomi. Berry galore with high end spices. Complex wine. Would drink again. Berry and spice boi. — 22 days ago
