The Rauzan-Segla delivers everything you come to expect in an aged Marqaux. Over delivering was is just an ok 2006 Bordeaux vintage.
Paired excellently with our Porterhouse steaks cooked on the Green Egg.
From the first sip you got the beauty and creamy velvety tannins that I love so much from the region of a good Margaux producer.
The nose showed beautiful dark & mid red fruits with amazing red florals bounding from the decanter at first pour & better later in the glass.
The body is elegant, round & creamy. The fruits ripe, fresh; blackberries, dark cherries, strawberries, black raspberries and strawberries bring up the rear. Excellent florals, mixed red & purple fruit cola, soft, fresh tobacco notes, suede leather, limestone, moist clay, moist, dark earth and an array of; blue, purple & red florals. The acidity round & perfect. The long finish is like a velvety glove, well balanced, fresh, ripe, elegant, creamy and similar wire to wire.
It is out performing its original reviews at this point and has another 8-10 years of good drinking ahead of it.

Note I am rating simply “Cave Spring Rosé”
Thank you Cave Spring! This is absolutely gorgeous! Strawberries, rose petals, and that air of young fruit. Nose is a beautiful bowl of strawberries. Happily enjoy this with warm weather — a month ago
Price value was good at €8 a bottle. Great colour, oily with low acidity. — 17 days ago
Nose of cherry, violet, green bell pepper, black pepper, and a creamy lactic note.
Cherries and cranberries on the palate with beautiful acidity and minerality (think kids chewable vitamins). Hints of that creaminess come through as well. Long finish.
Damn fine wine for a great price. One of my favorite rosés this season. — 11 days ago
Nose of cherries, violets, beef fat, bell pepper, black pepper, fennel, and top soil. So good.
Those red fruit and floral notes come through with some licorice and a touch of beefy meatiness and leather. Medium body acidity and tannins.
Another delicious, balanced Loire red. So good for such a small price. — 8 hours ago
