Very Pinot like nose, also spices and some “cellar scents” but lots of spices, the profile and palate looks Nebbiolo like with a tight, powerful and dry finish, but also lots of class and elegance, very good 91-92

Nez muet à l’ouverture mais qui s’ouvre de façon élégante sur de beaux fruits rouges, des épices douces, un petit peu terreux. La bouche suit la même tendance, un peu fermée pour s’ouvrir finalement sur un beau fruit engageant, une acidité bien sentie, presque minérale, des tannins de fort belle texture, il y a une belle vivacité, finale de longueur moyenne mais savoureuse. Un très bon Chassagne rouge très typé je pense du terroir qui aurait pu mériter un peu plus de temps en cave.

Muted nose at first, took time to open up and it did so very nicely on red fruits, soft spices and a touch of an earthy feel. The palate follows the same trend, fairly closed and then started to blossom with that gorgeous and energetic red fruit, nice acidity, almost mineral, with tannins that have a nice texture on the palate, the delicious finish is of medium length. A very nice and typical red Chassagne that could have benefited of a little more time in the cellar. — 3 years ago

Ouvert le matin et laissé en cave pour une lente aération. Un nez époustouflant, magnifique, complexe, des couches d’arômes se succèdent à un rythme incroyable, fraises, fruits rouges, rose, épices, probablement un des plus beaux nez de DRC que j’ai bu. Une bouche d’une finesse et d’une élégance sans pareil, pas le plus puissant mais quelle classe et profondeur, d’une longueur inouïe. Bu sur 4 heures juste pour en garder pour l’évaluer et n’a jamais bougé.

Open in the morning just to give it a slow dose of air, the most incredible DRC nose ever and i am lucky to have drank quite a few, and one of the most amazing nose on a wine i ever saw. Layers and layers of complexity. The palate is classy,elegant, deep and gorgeous, not the most powerful but what a wine, the length is unbelievable. — 2 years ago

Nez de fruits noirs, cerises noires, canelle. La bouche est pleine, très riche, assez large et ample, une densité surprenante mais avec une certaine élégance et tout de même équilibré dans le style. Sera surement très bon avec 2-3 ans en cave. 91

Dark fruit, black cherries, cinnamon. Rich, dense and wide palate, good volume but with also a certain elegance and freshness still within the powerful style. Very good but needs 2-3 years of cellar. — 3 years ago
