Segura Viudas

Reserva Heredad Cava Brut Parellada Macabeo

Blend of Macabeo (75%) and Chardonnay (25%). Light golden color. Aromas of white flowers, shortbread, dried apple, honey and a hint of smoke. Fruit forward pear and green apple on the palate with notes of honey, pastry and lemon/lime. Light bodied and crisp. Quite concentrated. — a month ago

Black Slate Porrera Vi de la Vila Priorat Garnacha Blend 2019

Oh yeah this is the stuff. Minerally, herby, leather/tobacco blackberry jam nose. Assertive but not aggressive dark fruits and barrel tannin on the palate. You can't stop sipping it. Would absolutely drink again. — a month ago

Clos Martinet

Priorat Grenache Blend 2018

Very elegant Priorat where the best is yet to come. Nice nose but still a bit restricted. On the palate the same as the nose. Great potential but not yet revealing itself at 100%. Hold in my personal opinion — 2 months ago

Mas Doix

Salanques Priorat Garnacha Blend 2007

Salanques: Poured into a decanter several hours prior and returned to the bottle just before dinner. The 2007 “Salanques” pours, a deep garnet color with a near opaque, core; medium+ viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and slightly desiccated red and dark fruits, red cherries, blackberries, dried red flowers, well-oiled leather, rocky minerals, light baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin (that is mostly integrated) and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Showing remarkable elegance; this is a delicious, gorgeous Priorat that is currently firing on all cylinders. A lovely pairing with paella a variety of traditional Spanish tapas. Drink now and over the next 10 years. — 2 months ago
