Pale yellow. Lemon notes. Tart. — 7 years ago
Another last of its kind wine as the San Mateo moved to Alesia label after this vintage. This young blend is really singing right now with bright red fruit and cedar spice and well balanced acidity. A candidate for short term aging, but the freshness of the fruit really shines now. — 7 years ago
Still a lot of tannins. Red fruit. Good acidity. Really tasty but needs a little more time. Edit - day 2/3 - really tasty. — a month ago

Mateo Sarah Anne visit and he’s a foodie and vino lover especially Champagne. Wow! A Blanc de Blanc with clean complex white floral nose laced just so with yeasty profile but not in your face like B-S. Dances on the palate and super long evolving finish. Yum! Terrific with the Asian style scallops appetizer — 3 years ago
