From Charleston Food and Wine classic…Biscuits and Bubbles tasting. — 4 months ago
Nicely aged Nebbiolo. Nose a combination of lifted fresh and dried roses, strawberry, hint of caramel, earthy mushroom compost. Slightly dusty. On the palate a nice, silky texture without rough tannic edges and a good dose of acidity. Strawberry, raspberry, sour cherry. Decent length. A nice pairing with homemade carbonara. — a day ago
Popped and poured; no formal notes. Bright golden color; persistent mousse; lemon citrus, meringue, brioche for dayzzz. Fantastic acid. Long finish. Gastronomic bubbles but so good it can be enjoyed on its own. This is far and away the greatest sparkling wine I’ve yet had from Italy. A wow wine. Too bad it’s priced like tête de cuvée Champagne. Regardless, whenever someone is pouring it, you should shift your attention to this. “I know I would. Heck, I’d go back for seconds!” Drink now or over the next 10+ years. — a year ago

January 10, 2024. Restaurant purchase. Decanted. Lovely Super Tuscan. Dark fruit, cocoa. Should evolve nicely over the next couple years, but good now w/30-60 minute decant. — 3 days ago
