Beautiful, vivacious, slightly carbonated, dark, full and fruity yet zesty ✨ — a month ago
Baller. Slightly hazy brick-ruby in the glass- completely unique in appearance and flavor. Crushed herbs and rosehips, wild berries, river rocks on the nose. Bright red cherries mingle with green watermelon rind on the palate. Juicy acids and prickly tannins. Some dank phenolics give this depth and mystery. Amphora aged, no so2 Gaglioppo rosato from Calabria; and it is totally pristine. — a month ago
65% guarnaccia bianca 35% mantonico bianco
I am going hard local and i must admit i am enjoying it even though i know already i will never find gold in the glass
A touch aromatic perhaps, granny smith apple, sage, thyme, iodine.
Not elegant maybe, but definitely enjoyable
I am happy with my little discoveries
I am meeting young guys that believe in the territory
With taralli and eggplant pure with chilli it was spot on — a month ago
The real deal. Tastes like the bottle of burgundy you dream of but never have — 11 days ago
I love this bottle. This is what most Italian wine used to be about. Now you have to venture south into Calabria. Sturdy, enjoyable wine - 100% Gaglioppo - a stewed fruit/dried fruit note, ripe fruit, maybe bramble. Spicy, full on palate, long aftertaste. All for less than $20. Points for cost/benefit ratio. — 8 days ago
Smooth finish with a soft cherry and oak flavour. Very tasty — a month ago
Nice acid. Well balanced tannins. Great nose. Tons of fruit on the pallet with a nice lingering finish. — 2 months ago
