Estate Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Fruity, complex, flavorful, all those good adjectives… delightful to savor on a rainy late-summer evening with gumbo, slaw and couscous. — a month ago

Marqués de Murrieta

Finca Ygay Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2012

This Spanish Rioja is just as good as the CADE cab I just had and is less than half the price, therefore it gets a perfect score. The difference is the rioja is a tad bit sweeter in the beginning and possesses less tannins in the finish. It also has a little more buttery middle. Everything else is almost identical!!! - Dr Todd Vineyards and Herron Family Wines — a year ago

Dark red cherries, velvet chocolate with hints of leather. Drink this wine and then you can rate all other Cabs, this is the mark. — 5 months ago

A few days late in posting the Wednesday Wine Committee wines. Standard format with 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds and 1 dessert wine. All served blind.

I have NEVER seen a wine this color! It looked like sparkling water in the glass. It had a richness in the aromatics that reminded me of Merry Edwards SB, but it was insanely light and acidic on the palate. Kiwi, crushed limestone, and stone fruits. Good acidity. I ended up guessing Bordeaux Blanc.
