Broc Love Red

Broc Cellars

Vine Starr Sonoma County Zinfandel 2023

Haven’t had for awhile. So brilliant. Fresh crushed berries, plums, forest, greenery, just on the nose. Palate is similar with some dried rose mixed in. Fresh plums, cherries, so tart, jolly rancher but not quite love this wine. — 24 days ago

Santa Barbara County Cabernet Franc 2014

Tasting amazing. So many different trees from the forest. Cedar, pine, other woods, peppers, flowers, herbs, strawberries, cherry juice. Sensational. Very few stateside cab francs in this style. — 6 years ago

Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

Love the structure of Dunn. Opens up after decanting, pleasure to drink, big fruit, perfect tannins. Looking forward to seeing this one age. — 7 years ago

Marcel Lapierre

Morgon Gamay 2018

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2018 “S” pours a slightly hazy garnet/purple color with a near opaque core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of pomegranate, cranberry, strawberry, licorice, purple flowers, green herbs and crushed rock. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finish is medium+. I love me some Lapierre. Drink now through 2038. — a month ago

@Somm David T the tomatoes, yes. The peaches were grown by a friend. We made a burrata peach salad with the latter.

Got my garden in late. So, waiting. But garden grown tomatoes & burrata, 👌.

2024 vintage of Broc’s pizza wine. Having it with “pizza” gnocchi from NYT cooking 🧑‍🍳 A little jammy and sweet, with a tangy finish. Nice with the melted mozz — 5 months ago

Opus One

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend

This wine is a well-balanced Napa Valley red showing both power and elegance. It offers aromas of blackcurrant, cedar, and tobacco, with flavors of black cherry, cocoa, and spice on a silky, structured palate. Love it. Q — 9 months ago

“To know, know know it is to love, love it”…always surprisingly fine wine, little known. The name speaks loudly and Tuscan…but it’s it’s not…it is distinctively Italian with it’s own central Italy region and grape. Balanced-smooth, controlled tannins and soft palate…medium bodied, deep red berry, darker flavor…a repeat for us and a long-time member of the “Everyday Club”. — 4 years ago

Alexander Valley Carignan

Wow!! Broc has done it again!
2015 Carignan - Beautiful deep ruby red color. Nose reminiscent of a super ripe cherry covered in dirt!
On the palate, dry, upbeat, crunchy acidity, pomegranate, cherry, cherry cola, turns into a crunchy black fruit, some spicy notes🤔. Well integrated *medium* tannins, earthy finish. Dangerously drinkable!
Went soooo well with pepperoni pizza!
