Bitter middle at first, but give it some time to breathe and it will relax. Amazing fragrance. Really great, dark, super unique — 3 years ago
Out of the ordinary Vernaccia di Oristano. The nose is intriguing but it is in the mouth where this Wine gets extraordinary with an infinite persistency — 9 years ago
Rose from Sardinia? May hold this bottle as a rose option at the new wine bar.
Melon, limestone, river rocks, saline.
Great mouthfeel. Refreshing and mineral. — 2 years ago
A new grape for me (bovale), from Sardinia. Heavy on the nose, distinct peppery note and ripe. Better when open 45 minutes. With Sly in London. — 3 years ago
Texture, volcanism, fig, salty smoke. Juniper & spice. Holy cow. The real deal. Great QPR — 4 years ago
Nicely made and exuding character. Nose has bright, deep plummy fruit, along with nice, fragrant spice and a wisp of smoke. Mouthfilling, pure fruit on the palate, with a light touch, finish turns savory and shows lots of stony minerality. Nice acids and a bit of soft, chalky tannin comes out at the end. Terrific value. — 5 years ago
This is a new and interesting wine to me. Perdera translates to, “place of many stones”. The wine is composed of 90% Monica, 5% Carignano, 5% Bovale Sardo. Monica is an exclusively local grape of Sardinia. The wine is medium bodied. Notes of cherries and plums, followed by mild notes of peppercorn, anise and herbs. Fresh acidity along with mild tannin. Very enjoyable! — 6 years ago

Such a soft opening with blackberry aromas and dark earthy chocolate notes. Delightful from start to finish. — 8 years ago
This Bobal kind of reminds me of a big, muscular left bank Bordeaux. Saturated color. Nose has lots of graphite, cassis, elderberry, and dried twigs and leaves. Dense, but in a lean and muscular way that avoids any jamminess. Dark cassis and crushed rock are the main components. Bone dry and with very good acids. Tannins are present but reasonably soft. Will be better in a couple of years but nice now too. — 3 years ago
Delicious and versatile red. Perfect with mushroom pasta, but light enough to drink alone. Picked this up at Eataly, where it was advertised as a staff pick. Let’s just say the staff has great taste!! — 5 years ago
100% Graciano aka Muristellu aka Bovale Sardo. Immediately recognizable nose when opened with perfume of floral and cherry. On the palate it has nice fruit boysenberry, cranberry, and red cherry. Lively acidity, but still full bodied. Earthy & spice on the finish with a hint of vanilla. — 7 years ago
Black plums, ripe blackberries, dried herbs, touch of oak and smoke. — 7 years ago
Ceccherini Cristiano
After tasting the whole range from Argiolas you also realise how they got to this blend.
This is stunning, it absorbed 18 months of new oak easy.
Cannonau gives the freshness and the fruit with the carignan, the bovale donates the tannin and the floral shade and Malvasia Nera the aromatic.
Super velvety, fresh, complex and above all long.
It goes without saying this is only a baby. — a year ago
