Bovale Utiel-Requena Bobal

This Bobal kind of reminds me of a big, muscular left bank Bordeaux. Saturated color. Nose has lots of graphite, cassis, elderberry, and dried twigs and leaves. Dense, but in a lean and muscular way that avoids any jamminess. Dark cassis and crushed rock are the main components. Bone dry and with very good acids. Tannins are present but reasonably soft. Will be better in a couple of years but nice now too.
