Delicious wine from the canary islands! Acidic, funky, interesting, I swear I can taste the sea air. Bought in the Hobart book village, had with shrimp scampi and clams. — 4 years ago
Citrus, white floral notes, white stoned fruit, and some ripe green apple to round it out. Complex with a richness at its core and clean minerality. — 3 months ago
Nearly 8 years old and the acidity is still off the charts. Love it. Little smoky note on the nose and rocky notes at the end—so volcano. Lots of cherry with a bit of raspberry zip in the middle. Moderate-minus tannins. Wish it lingered longer. — 9 months ago
Fun, bright, acid bomb, gets tarter as it opens. Unfiltered, but clean-ish funk! — 2 years ago
A sweeter style than some of the other houses and for me the sugar overpowers it a little - masks some of the exciting nutty fun going on after nearly 30 years in the bottle. I see other reviewers complain of a lack of acidity in other vintages, that’s interesting as this one is very present. The tannins have died. Would be curious to see if the flattening of sugars and acidity bring this into balance in another 50ish… — 6 months ago
Only red we had paired w Basque tapas & what a pairing. It’s a blend from Outside Madrid- syrah, garnacha, carinena & morenillo , it all hangs together in a loose, fresh style. Not too far removed from a Cru Beaujo. Dark red fruits, surprisingly long & a bit of grip. A ‘ villages level’ from the Spanish version of the Gang of Four. An easy wine easy to like. — 3 years ago

Funky mixed berry. Brambly, some hints of green pepper, black pepper, black tea, and good structure. Off the beaten path. Fun find. — 2 months ago
