Envinate

Táganan Vinos Atlánticos Red Blend 2018

An airy, effusive and downright beautiful wine is the 2018 Taganan from the Tenerife Envínate property of modernist Spanish winemakers Laura Ramos, Jose Martínez, Roberto Santana and Alfonso Torrente. Created from 100-200 year old vines on volcanic soils, it’s a delicate, restrained wine with a gorgeous, smoky bouquet of sour cherry, strawberries and Provençal herbs; the palate, meanwhile, is saturated with very fine tannins, almost imperceptible acidity and nice length. Served lightly chilled, this is an exciting wine which should gain further interest with age. — 3 years ago

€11.90 on the restaurant wine list. Was fine with our Indian dinner. Our bottle didn’t say “La Mancha”. — 2 years ago

Reserva Rioja Tempranillo Blend 2013

Vibrant Rioja with bright flavors of pie cherry, marionberry and tart plum. Needed opening for at least 60-90 minutes to get a deeper layers of earthy, leather and oak. — 3 years ago
