Arenaria Terre Sicilane Nerello Mascalese 2020

Very bold style of Nerello! Great fruit, nice floral component, light tannin. This will only get better with some time in bottle. — a year ago

9.5

From magnum to share w a generous neighbor's smoked brisket. This wine shows Eduardo Garcia as a young wine making genius. Great quality raw materials, careful winemaking and a result that was sublime. In this wine Eduardo's education in Bordeaux can be tasted. Mineral, stony, savory, plum, confit dried fruits the list goes on, though, even in magnum, the wine doesn't. — 3 years ago

Pirrera Terre Siciliane Nerello Mascalese 2020

Delectable Wine
9.4

The 2020 Nerello Mascalese Pirrera is delicate and coy in the glass, showing just nuances of rose and black cherry contrasted by dusty earth. Silky and refined, it washes across the palate with a pure blend of red and wild blueberry fruit. A mineral staining adds tension toward the close. It finishes structured and long with a citrus concentration to balance as tart raspberry and sage slowly taper off. Patience will be required to tame this structured Etna Rosso. Arboleda

Aconcagua Costa Chardonnay 2016

Founded in 1999, part of a shared dream inspiring Robert Mondavi & Eduardo Chadwick to realize the potential of Chile as a world class wine producer. "Arboleda" in Spanish means "grove of trees" a tribute to the native Chilean trees. Aromas of fresh crisp fruits with citrus notes. On the palate crisp apple and Asian pear flavors with sweet citrus zest. Good acidity balance, medium+ finish ending with bright mineral character. — 6 years ago
