pale salmon, abundant tiny bubbles; orange zest, strawberry, smoke, lees; bitter cherry, strawberry, spice, chalky minerality; medium body, tangy acidity, 12% ABV; made from blend of 45% Chardonnay, 30% Pinot Noir, and 25% Pinot Meunier with 8 g/L dosage; one of my favorite multivintage rosé champagnes — 8 days ago
ラファソン古賀で林田さん、渡辺さんと飲んだワイン。変化も含めてとても美味しかった！ — 2 days ago
Lots of fun bottles were popped at Al’s hosting this past weekend for his birthday celebration. All were served blind. 1 sparkler, 2 whites, 6 reds and 1 dessert wine.
I’ve now had this twice in the last month. Lucky me. First time was at the Billecart tasting, and they spoke very highly of this (as they should). This was served a little warmer than I enjoy my champagnes so it was hard to enjoy the crispness or the mousse, but there was a gorgeous layer of bright yet restrained red fruits like rhubarb and strawberry cream. Even some kiwi and dragon fruit. Hardly any yeast. But even at a warmer temp, this stayed in balance. I called this mid 2000s rosé champagne and guessed it was the Billecart Cuvee Elizabeth, but I had some help from others as we brainstormed. Partial credit! — 2 months ago
I enjoyed getting to revisit this and spend more time with it after trying it for the first time a few weeks go at a Billecart tasting. Totally open for business now. Very fresh. Bright and ripe white peach, apricot, honeysuckle and honeyed pastry aromatics. Fine bead, light yet creamy mousse, with sharp acidity, highlighted by golden delicious apple, chalky limestone, sea salt and powdered lemon bar. Thanks @Jason Jones — a month ago
