Drank this one right after the last glass Wachter Wieslers bela joska Eisenberg 2013. Man it is really quite the same. Must be the terroir, slightly different but i cant describe that :). Really earthy, grippingly mineralic, dark cherry paired with flashy red sour cranberry, peppery. I love Blaufränkisch and Eisenbergs geological preferences, dont know what it is exactly, but its good. Biodynamic handcare. Great elegant and complex stuff for this price segment. Uwe Schiefer had some bad luck in late times. So drink his god damn good wines! — 9 years ago

Fairly conventional and pleasant Plum and Cherry on the nose. Gets funky on the tongue. Almost like lemon juice with those same fruit flavors. Tannic heavy in the front. Happy to drink. — 6 years ago

Fruit from multiple vineyard sites. Bright garnet color with ruby and purple highlights. Bountiful fruit forward aromas and flavors of raspberry, blueberry, blackberry, cranberry and kirsch with hints of dried herbs and black pepper. Plush and juicy with soft tannins, medium body and crisp acidity. Tangy, fresh and very “Beaujolais-like.” (Carbonic Maceration?) No sign of oak aging. Thanks for the tasting, Ron B!
