Time! Must give this wine time! It is so tight straight from the bottle that judging it then is unfair. After hours it opens into a beautiful Sangiovese: cherry, tobacco, and violets. — a month ago
Decided to break open this Brunello tonight, after having a 2015 Argiano last night. This one is super rich with dark cherry, chocolate, and spice aromas. On the bud, the cherry notes continue to come out with cedar/oak notes and subtle spice notes. It velvety smooth with mild tannins and a nice long finish. Great with our steak and kale salad. Looking forward to tasting it with our chocolates later. This one is by far the winner of the two wines. I still have 6 more bottles in the cellar and can’t wait to see how it continues to evolve. — 6 months ago

2008 vintage. Decanted and tasted after two hours. Medium-heavy body. Juicy introduction with a firm, tannic handshake directly thereafter. Nice first impression of the 2018 tasting now but 3-5 years from now likely leads to a better opinion. 4.26.24. — 8 days ago
