Day 2. Deep and complex nose: orange rind, lemon oil, ginger, wax, and hints of saffron. Feels rustic, yet new world. Vibrant on the palate, with lemon meringue, honey crisp apple, and citrus juice. Chalk undertones meet firm acid. Medium weight, with persistence on the finish. Felt a little more on the fresh side yesterday. My favorite wine so far in the #garyveewineclub. Drink on Thanksgiving.

Opened to breath for 6+ hours. Sexy, smooth, French oak wrapped boysenberry. Green pepper, cola, licorice on the nose too. Dark fruits and dark flavors- expresso and cacao. Fresh and bright on the palate, old world style. Red raspberry and chocolate. Smooth and integrated tannins round out the finish. #garyveewineclub — 3 years ago
Old world feel. Beef jerky, dark berries, tar, and eucalyptus. Fresh and lively on the palate. Black raspberry and cassis. Soft mouthfeel with subdued tannins. Slurpy and easy drinking, with layers on the nose. Solid mid-week Cabernet. #garyveewineclub — 2 years ago
Apple cobbler and lemons. Balanced, nice finish. #garyveewineclub — 3 years ago
Red cherry fruit, maybe tobacco and black pepper nose. I question if this wine finished malolactic fermentation. On the palate, there’s a strong metallic, aluminum foil taste, partnered with tart, bitter cherry, and citric acid. Unfortunately this is a dumper, as in down the sink. Bitter, austere, and frankly unenjoyable. The first swing and miss of the #garyveewineclub — 3 years ago
Needs a little air... blackberry pie, blackcherry, vanilla bean, and cinnamon. Well balanced palate with firm, but integrated tannins. Dark fruit is persistent and over-delivers on the finish. #garyveewineclub — 2 years ago
Soy sauce, black peppercorn, green olive, cassis, and clove. Dark red fruits, mocha and earthy notes stand out on the palate. Well balanced, juicy, and soft. More of an old world feel. Very solid weeknight drinker. #garyveewineclub — 2 years ago
