Tricky to pair with food but lovely! Especially after it opens up. — 2 months ago

Great example of what a Spanna from Alto Piemonte can be. Volcanic soil, traditional process and a great family. Red berries orange peel mint plenty of acid and low alcohol lightens the package. The bottle went empty quickly. — a month ago
Yuuuuuum. Lovely fruit on the palate, with notes of smoke? Tar? Med plus tannins. So worth the price — 2 months ago
Valpolicella dryness but almost perfect balance. Oakey and big. For me almost the perfect Italian wine. — a month ago
Sweet wines are normally not my favorite but I wanted to try this and expand my palate and I wasn’t disappointed 🙂 it has a nice flavor and is not bubbling at all. A good wine for a great price point which balances out the table. — 2 months ago
The 2019 Barolo is a potent, layered wine, within the super-classic style that is the house signature. Dark cherry, plum, spice, leather, licorice and menthol add to an impression of brooding intensity. There's real weight and substance here that needs time to emerge. Dried herbs, sage, mint, tobacco and cedar linger on the vibrant, tense finish. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, January 2024)

Other bottlings tasted more layered, I’d like to think, but for the peni-ultimate wine equivalent of salted caramel, this is it. Caramel not sweet at all,& the more fluid body from Palamino. Perhaps a tad too salty- but who doesn’t like salted caramel? 375ml bottle. Kinda cool how many deals are to be had in the Barbadillo line up. — a month ago
