This is a very enjoyable Rhône blend from California. Nicely balanced with black fruits, earth, chocolates, black tea, licorice, wood, cloves, vanilla, spices, espresso, cola and vegetables.
Full bodied with medium plus acidity and nice legs.
Dry and fruit forward on the palate, with enough earth notes to make it interesting, with great complexity and a lively mouthfeel.
Great length on the finish with round tannins and a tangy ending.
Very enjoyable an earthy, for a new world wine. Feels like a nice young Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
This is a beautiful 6 year old blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Will drink very nicely in the next 3 years.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with BBQ skirt steak.
14.8% alcohol by volume.

I don’t like wines like this much anymore as my palate has shifted to more old world style wines. This is definitely new world. Decanted briefly. Dark purple with a sweet bouquet of charred rustic oak and blueberry compote. On the palate, bursting with smoked blueberry with a silky finish and fine tannins. This wine is BIG and it’s well made. Finish is long, and it appears to have many years ahead of it given the powerful fruit and still integrating oak. If you’re into these wines, you’ll be well rewarded. Nice as a cocktail wine...not sure what I’d pair this with (a stew?). — 16 days ago

This wine was really good. — 11 days ago
This Zinfandel sports a nose of blackberries and plums, laced with a generous helping of clove, nutmeg, cigar box, smoke and vanilla. A peppery note lies underneath and carries through, more prominently, on the palate. Flavors of dark fruit mix with herbs and spices for a delightful sip. The tannins are fairly forceful and the finish plays long and dark. — 20 days ago
A weekday go to zin that is perfect for an after work accompaniment. The residual sugar is not over the top so I personally enjoyed this with some Chinese pork buns, yum!!! — 24 days ago
Light straw color. Mild taste but builds to a citrus when warms. Not oaky but lemon minerals. — 22 days ago
