Dirty & Rowdy

Shake Ridge Ranch Mourvedre 2015

I always enjoy D&R wines for their tasty, quaffable nature. Great weekday easy drinkers. Where I’m let down is in their homogeneity. Each bottle seems like same wine repeated with little varietal character. Maybe it’s the concrete ferments and/or carbonic maceration. — 17 days ago

From a fine producer of Amador sourced fruit. Dark red and medium bodied. Rich texture and evolving aromas blends well with a wide variety of foods. Fun to drink..🍷🍷 — 21 days ago

El Dorado Gamay Noir 2015

Riper than what you’d expect from one of my favorite producers in the US. A pretty, lucid, rusted pale ruby. Robust, spicy, oaky. Fleshy red berries and perfumed flowers. Gamay, done new world. — a day ago

Amador County Barbera 2016

This wine comes on with a bit too much oak for me. Bright cherries and spice on the nose are obscured by the wood effect, but it’s not so pronounced on the palate. There’s great fruit here when it shines through. Firm tannins beg for meat. Sausages? Bolognese sauce? — 23 days ago

El Dorado Grenache Noir

One of the best California Grenache I have ever had! This had strawberry, pepper and a freshness, which made you not want to put the glass down! — a day ago
