Louro Valdeorras Godello

Aromas of beeswax, ripe green apple, round and rich mouthfeel, with a great balance of fruit and mineral, dead ringer for Chablis — 22 days ago

O Rosal Rias Baixas Albariño 2017

Crisp, clean citrus and apple, hint of white peach and subtle spice. A wonderfully balanced Albariño that is an exceptionally versatile wine in good pairings. Shellfish to be sure but also for holiday pass-arounds (goat cheese in filo anyone). Light enough for an aperitif and satisfying enough to go with appetizers and main courses — 25 days ago

Tinta del Pais Ribera del Duero Tempranillo 2007

This was a saturated purple and black color in the decanter and I would have guessed maybe 3yrs old based on how tight this was even after 20-30mins. Underripe blackberry, cassis, currant, and plum on the nose. Chewy tannins...dark chocolate dusted dates, tobacco & graphite. No problem letting this go another 5-7 before it even hits a prime drinking window (in my opinion). — 10 days ago

Not a bad wine. As a matter of fact, this one is very dense and chewy. Purple and black fruits. Sweet tobacco and plum in the middle. Surprised at the tannin here. Still quite stiff on the finish and would have guessed this one was possibly a 2012 or 2013. I feel this one has quite a number of years left. Still think this would be capable of more than where it is now, but nonetheless a good wine now.

Quinta do Casal Monteiro

Tejo Touriga Nacional Blend 2012

Rich, dynamic, full-bodied with a subtle cranberry and smoke nose. Deliciously heavy on the tongue without being overwhelming. Had with Buffalo Cheese dip and blue corn tortillas. — a month ago
