Wonderful Cab from a favorite vintner. Soft tannins and dark cherry fruit. Thankfully we have 29 more bottles. — 11 days ago
At the Clos Mogador tasting at the winery yesterday. This is the flagship - a blend of 45% Garnatxa, 29% Carinyena, 16% Syrah, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Red and blue fruits, also red and blue florals. Full bodied and again 15% ABV. Persistent tannins. The more I drink Priorat the more it reminds me of CdP with influences of garrigue ie lavender, thyme, rosemary etc which grow in isolated patches amongst the vineyards when we drove around. Our host, Josip, said he likes to drink this Cuvée at 8 to 15 years but he went on to say that Rene Barbier’s father liked to drink at 20+ years as the wine becomes more silky and develops more liquorice notes. I bought a bottle of the 2004 from their cellar to take home. — 25 days ago
2 hour decant (lots of fine/cloudy sediment). An imposing dark purplish garnet color. On the nose: cassis, cedar, vanilla, dark plum, sandlewood. Taste: smooth, creamy, velvety wine with dark plum, smokey chocolate, touch of blueberry and a herbal tea dry finish...tannic kick. YUM! Drinks well with the needed decant, but really has time to go to see if it will fully come together. . — a month ago

This is a lovely, pale pink rosé from an island vineyard clean, crisp acidity and charming red fruit aromas of strawberry, raspberry and cherry with a persistent grapefruit note lingering on the palate. Delicate but long on the palate. Organic; 31% Mourvèdre, 29% Cinsault, 20% Syrah, 15% Grenache, 5% Tibouren — 10 days ago
