Really opened up after an hour. Lots of fruit, even with high alcohol. Wonderful blend. I give it a 9.3

Fun, well balanced, juicy but not childish. — 4 days ago

Painted Rock

Estate Grown Okanagan Valley Merlot

Smooth tannins, anise, ripe red fruits and berries. This will do well in the cellar. — 11 days ago

Harris-Kratka Zinfandel 2017

Dark, deep purple color. Lovely aroma of roses, ripe red/black plums and wood-stove. Flavors are elegant and meaty. Some savory, chewy parts and plenty of bing cherry. Also has an inky streak. This is a great cooler climate Zin. Drinks a bit like Merlot, but has a hazelnut or chestnut thing that sings pure Zin. — 6 days ago

Rim Rock Syrah

Great bold flavor on the 2017. A solid full-bodied lip smacker. Pairs well with the old dutch-oven-chicken-and-veg. — 8 days ago

Waited until 2020 and this aged well. Smooth and nice when paired with tofu and great the next day with chicken! A decant is a must with this wine. — 11 days ago

Willow White Paso Robles Grenache Blanc Blend 2018

9.3

Turtle Rock is one of my favorites in Paso Robles. Elegant and honestly beautiful packaging but it’s what’s inside, that really shines. This Rhône style white blend is dominant in Grenache blanc. Deep impressive color. Heady nose of dried straw, citrus, vanilla bean and light oak. Waxy but still super fresh. Yummm! — a month ago

Stellar Riesling! Great fruit and minerality. I would like to age it but I doubt it will make it long. — 14 days ago

Chimney Rock

Stags Leap District Cabernet Franc 2005

Very full bodied with wonderful fruit (no tannins to speak of) and gains complexity in a long finish if you are patient enough to wait for it. — 16 days ago
