Fun and delicious new label from Nikki Pallesen, formerly of Liquid Farm. Now that she is off on her own, this and a Mourvèdre rosé are the first wines from the new label (Joni Mitchell inspired label art). My thanks to my good buddy @Bill Bender for this!
If I was to classify rosé in to three categories of style, it would be crushable, classic, and commanding. This falls in between crushable and classic. It disappeared incredibly quick from the bottle…so easy to drink yet also sports some fun nuances. At 11.8ABV, the refreshing profile is evident from first sip. Watermelon colored with an orange tinge in the glass. It’s really juicy and tropical up front with watermelon, melon, red berry gummy fruit snacks (I know this well thanks to my 2yo) and strawberry, but the finish is quite unique…goes from an herbal, rhubarb type spice to a pink sea salt dusted cranberry scone. Best enjoyed over the next 6-12 months. No brainer at the price! — 4 days ago

A six-year-old old vine Verdejo. Tastes way more aged than I expected… Dried mango, apricot, strong minerality, salinity, Marcona almond, caramel, dried herbs as well. High levels of linear acidity, full bodied but not fat. 14.5%. Grippy phenolics coating the mouth. — 2 months ago
