Last night I had the pleasure of opening the 2016 Domaine Jean-Claude Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru "Clos Saint-Jean", Cóte-Dor, France.
On the nose are notes of cherry, raspberry, strawberry, clove, hibiscus, vanilla, hints of smokey oak and forest floor.
On the palate the is cherry, raspberry, cranberry, hibiscus, spice, lighly licorice, mushroom and earth.
This wine is beautifully medium to medium + body with medium + acidity and medium fine supple tannins that leads into a wonderful long fresh red fruit earthy finish. Today starts another week of meetings and working hard to enable ourselves to enjoy the weekend that brings us joy and relaxation. Please have a wonderful week and stay safe and healthy. Nose of soft yellow apples and mild acidity, slight floral and stone but seems perhaps flabby bruised fruit. Taste quite different - slight yellow apple but bright lemon lime, good acidity, some cream but not heavy. Slight white pepper or hint of other spice, slight stone. — 9 hours ago

Vibrant Ruby with aromas dark berry fruits floral and spice aromas. On the palate cherry, currant and raspberry flavors with some fresh cinnamon spice and tea notes. Vibrant acidity, elegant fine tannins, well balanced just starting to wake up, long finish ending with slight earthy notes, plenty of depth, will continue to develop. Nice, but a bit pricey! — a month ago
