Just so nice! Great for a night in. — 6 years ago
There is a slight misalignment between the fruit and phenolic ripeness, also a mismatch between the oak and the terroir, but it is still an authentic, genuine Langhe Nebbiolo. Wide range of aromatic nuances and dynamic expression with authority. Less polished than Roagna and less subtle than Cascina delle Rose but those three are of similar mold. A relaxed style of winemaking that is complete opposite of producers like Albino Rocca, Bruno Rocca and Sottimano who have a perfectionist approach, — 6 years ago
This wine has a pale ruby hue trending towards garnet with pronounced aromatic intensity of morello cherry, wild strawberry, pomegranate, black licorice, fennel, rose, morel mushroom, nutmeg, star anise, vanilla bean, clove, and tobacco nutmeg notes.
The flavors are consistent with the nose. This wine is dry, with medium(+) acidity and high, chalky tannins, high alcohol, and a long, elegant finish.
Talk about an iron fist in a velvet glove! We’re loving it! 🥂 — 5 months ago
Dark and smoky, needed lots and lots of air, but really pleasant once it opened up. Black cherry, mocha, cigar. — 4 years ago
Followed up Sottimano with this. Smoother and should probably have been first however paired nicely with full dinner. — 6 years ago

Oddball wine. Dry brachetto. First time having it in years. Candied strawberries, red currants, rose hips, roses and loads of florals. With these aromas and flavors, my brain still tricks me into thinking it’s sweet even though it’s not. Some unexpected tannins. — 3 days ago
