Santa Celina

Presqu'ile Winery

Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir 2018

Just tried a third bottle over past 6 months. A light style Pinot, something I would find from OR, not Santa Barbara, however this bottle was a bit more pronounced in aromas and flavors. Medium Ruby with aromas of red fruits and spice. On the palate ripe raspberry and wild juicy cherry with cola, oak and earthy notes. Developing with integrated soft tannins, well defined, elegant with underlying richness, long finish ending with flinty mineral character. Outstanding value! — 2 days ago

Alesia Fairview Ranch Syrah 2006

so Rhône-like with smoked meat and herbs, licorice. A big but balanced wine. Delicious. Throwing a lot of sediment. Very good. — 3 days ago

Angeli Syrah 2010

Prefer the hilltops syrah, although this is really enjoyable despite the noticeable heat on the finish. — 2 days ago

Cobolorum Petillant Naturel Riesling

Finally got our couch! And our coffee table lesgoooo!

Sage leaf, orange zest, honey in the bouquet. And a little funk.

Wow. Zing! Karpow! Boom! I call this a comic book wine because it literally jumps off the page and into your taste buds.

Not bad at all. Thanks NYT.

Bar-M Vineyard Chardonnay 2009

Delectable Wine
9.1

Diatom’s 2009 Chardonnay Bar-M, from vineyards in Los Alamos, is a gorgeous wine and a fabulous value. Tangerine oil, white flowers and light tropical accents give this curvy, airy Santa Barbara Chardonnay so much appeal. Breezy saline notes linger on the wonderfully inviting finish. $25.00 (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, October 2020) — 13 days ago

Smash City Pinot Noir 2015

This was a monster truck Pinot for sure. Not to be paired lightly with food and not to be mistaken for a Burgundy. This has extraction, alcohol, and tons of flavor. Different but fun. — 21 hours ago

Clark & Telephone Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

Fruit forward at PnP but as it opened it revealed dark chocolate and tobacco notes as well as a faint oakiness w a slightly tannic finish. Really nice. — a day ago
