La Roche Pouilly-Fuissé Chardonnay 2018

Pop and pour. Yum. **Much** better than the 17 imo. On the nose: mineral, lemon peel, soft vanilla, smoke; excellent perfume On the palate: fantastic acidity, lemon vanilla cream, but solid minerality to back things up. Clean, tangy finish. Excellent. — 4 days ago

Sous Roche Dumay Saint Aubin 1er Cru Chardonnay 2019

Lyle Fass
9.5

This blows away my last bottle. So pure. So precise on the nose. A sick sense of richness and also insane minerality. Best aromas on any St. Aubin ever. Deep. This nose has woodsmoke. Confectionary. Super stones. Insane concentration and purity. So refined and classy. Super saline and has that mineral sweetness and intensity. Balance and class that is always there with Brisset. What intensity. Incredible mineral wash on the finish. So so clean. Just a brilliant bottle of wine. Maybe 9.6. 9.5 now. — a month ago

Even with a long double decant this wine was still tight. Eventually it did open up with lovely fruit underneath all the structure. — 2 days ago

Les Cras Macon La Roche-Vineuse Chardonnay 2015

2021/5/7-9 with meunière of shitabirame, etc. A totally different thing from the straight Roche Vineuse - initially there’s a fair bit of oak but with time and air it integrates nicely. There’s citrus, white flowers, buttered toast, and some cool stones. The palate balances tangy acidity and savor. I’d love to see how this continues to evolve. — a month ago
