Direct from Le Volpe e l’uva on the south end of the Ponte Vecchio in Firenza, this is what Italian wines are all about. A bit of a youngster for a barolo I grant you, but the dried cherries, spice, and subtle leather notes on this one, coupled with firm but well-integrated tannins, make this a great wine to enjoy on it’s own or with the porcini mushroom ravioli with homemade tomato sauce and aged parmesian that we’re about to have for dinner...well, you can’t go wrong! — 2 months ago
