I love Michael Cruse’s wines. His sparkling wines in particular always make me go Gaga.The Deming Valdiguie is one I always keep on hand. Fresh apricot, toasted brioche, pink peppercorn, red grapefruit (with a bit of bitterness of the peel for good measure). This wine took time to open up. First glass out of the bottle was too tight - so I poured some to make space, corked, chilled, and 20 min later it was perfect. Nice with creamy rice dishes like Risotto or seafood fettuccine.
