Simply stated, I love this wine. Full mouth, surprisingly complete palette. Want more! — 7 years ago
If I could I would give it a 9.35. This is the 4th bottle I have over several years and it keeps on evolving in a positive way. Nose is terrific and fruit, acidity and tannins are melting together. I still have 2 so probably the last one will be at peak 🤞 — 2 months ago
Exceptionally rich yet nervy, Lohsa 2013 Morellino di Scansano is certainly cut along the local Sangiovese lines of this DOCG but this is cut of a finer woolen and fragrant cloth true to the Poliziano house whose handsome strength comes through in savory spiced cherries and al dente tannins. A wine to serve with wild boar or crispy duck. — 6 years ago
This is a special bottle, and not just because it has evolved into something gorgeous. When I first met my wife in 2002, our first international trip while dating was to Tuscany. We schlepped back more than 2 cases of wine in our luggage. There are two bottles left, and this is one of them. Purchased at the winery and squirreled away until last night. It didn’t disappoint. Gorgeously silky red fruits, leather, dried herbs and flowers, shot through with great memories. — 6 months ago
