Close second to the kongsgaard - quarter bottle left for me and the wife - 😬 thanks @Norman Gennaro ! — 4 years ago
ZD Winery began as a partnership of two aerospace engineers whose initials formed the name of the winery: Norman de Leuze and Gino Zepponi. A full-body Pinot! Deep Ruby with berry aromas and garden spice. On the palate strawberry and cherry fruit with vanilla spice and cedar notes. The wine is well structured, silky smooth tannins, balanced acidity carry the wine to a lingering finish. Very Nice! — 4 years ago
In Norman for the OU West Virginia game with granddaughter Haley. Excellent. — 3 years ago
Unbelievable - just perfect with an American spinasse wagyu!! Thank You @Norman Gennaro — 3 years ago
Beautifully aged. Paired so perfectly with Chef Norman Van Aken’s Pork Havana at his Orlando Ritz Carlton location. Medium toast from the oak, vanilla, balanced, velvety mouth feel. Dried fruits, blackberry, cherry, tobacco, licorice. Soft around the edges. Decanted for two hours. Could cellar for a few more years. — 4 years ago
...yummy goodness in a bottle. Best Italian in Boca... Arturo’s... Norman agrees!!! — 3 years ago
Brought by Norman Adam to Scott’s for a Sunday buffet. Less meaty than another La Liviniere shared at the same meal. Lovely nose with bold fruit. Quite polished and Medoc-like. — 3 years ago
I usually don’t drink chards but when I do .... :) thank you @Norman Gennaro — 4 years ago
Good friends who know you, always know what to bring over! The Cabernet Franc from Ehlers is always a great accompaniment for really good lamb or steak. Tonight it was lamb with shaved black truffles from legendary Florida chef Norman Van Aken’s 1921 restaurant. It all came together beautifully!

This shot is for @Norman Gennaro.
So here’s the deal... wifey and I have a small place, which means that we can’t build a room with a cellar - we just don’t have the real estate. So, working with @Mo Salem, our cellar needed to be an integral part of our living space. We’re doing something similar below our stairs. Keep you posted on that.
Let’s turn to this stunning SB. Aromas of grapefruit and slate on the nose. Palate is flinty and honied. Perfect acidity and weight on the mid-palate. It’s exuberant all the way to the finish. $22!!! 😀 — 2 years ago
